Presentation of the results of Pierre Bouillon's thesis

A Remarkable Scientific and Human Adventure Comes to an End! On November 13th, Pierre Bouillon reached an important milestone: he presented the results of his PhD thesis to a jury at the Angers University. For three years, Pierre delved into the genetic and epigenetic mysteries of red-fleshed apples as part of the Kissabel® project. This ambitious research was made possible through a CIFRE agreement, fostering a strong partnership between INRAE and IFO.

In his work, Pierre developed innovative tools to optimize the selection of red-fleshed apple varieties, combining scientific rigor with a passion for variety innovation. His expertise and dedication are a source of great pride for IFO, which has supported him throughout this journey.

On the day of his presentation, his colleagues from IFO were present to cheer him on (and to applaud loudly). It was a moment to celebrate the end of this adventure, while also strengthening our ties with the scientific community and research institutions.

A huge congratulations to Pierre for his outstanding achievements, and a big thank you to INRAE Angers for this enriching collaboration. At IFO and Dalival, we are excited to see the practical outcomes of this research in the orchards of tomorrow.
